Exploring the Potential of IoBNT
That’s sad. How plastic and artificial life has become. It gets harder and harder to find something…real. Real love, real friends, real body parts. - Jess C Scott
The human central nervous system and the whole brain functioning has been an interesting field of research for decades. The human central nervous system contains billions of neurons that help transport, release and metabolize the neurochemicals at the synapses. People have always tried to find the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, depression and anxiety and have tried to find the cure of these health conditions.
Neuroscience has been developing for years and scientists have always determined how information is encoded in brain function. Nowadays with the advanced development of modern technologies such as IoT, IoMT, IoBNT, implantable nano ribbons and nanoparticles into human body, clinical trials on people’s mind reading etc. will bring to the huge step in understanding the human brain and creating a transhumance (Is it good or bad is an open question now). Implantable electrode development focuses on monitoring electrical signals. Scientists use a great variety of nanoparticles, nano ribbons, and nanowires to impact the human brain, but the most common nanoparticle is graphene (Now can you remember where we have met “graphene” recently?). According to this research “Compared with In2O3 used in this study, graphene has a much higher carrier mobility than that of In2O3 (17.8 ± 1.8 cm2/V·s)”. Graphene offers a lot of attractive properties for in vivo biosensing applications, graphene is famous for its biocompatibility and chemical inertness.

This research describes that graphene microtransistor is a three-terminal electronic device in which graphene is used as a channel material between the source and drain terminals.
“We refuse to turn off our computers, turn off our phone, log off Facebook, and just sit in silence, because in those moments we might actually have to face up to who we really are.” ― Jefferson Bethke
Such fields when tiny, biocompatible, nanoparticle devices collect and sense biological signals inside the human body and transmit the data into external data centers for processing through the internet called IoBNT. IoBNT is the combination of synthetic biology and nanotechnology tools (or simply Bio-Nano things). These Bio-Nano things are ideal for in vivo applications because of their nanoscale (1-100nm), these particles can reach to the hard-to-access areas of the human body (such as cells, tissues, neurons) and collect information inside the human body. A network with bio-nano things called nanonetwork. Bio Cyber Interface is a powerful hybrid device that interconnects the biological world and the cyber world. The biochemical signals from in-body nanodevices translate into electromagnetic signals and vice versa. Bio Cyber Interface is using very dangerous technologies penetrating into the human body, just controlling the human body. This technology will definitely be used in healthcare applications and the human body will be accessible through the Internet, and of course there are big chances the human body will be used with malicious intent.
Definitely, future technologies will bring us a lot of new and sometimes incomprehensible things. Soon everyone will have to choose whether to use these technologies inside their own body or not. To choose whether to be a human with clear consciousness or to become a transhuman.
